The aim of KADERES in healthcare is to provide comprehensive healthcare facilities to the rural wards and villages in KARAGWE which are underserved. KADERES works to increase and improve access to static and community based health services with the following objectives:
1. Reducing mother and/or child death rates
during childbirth
2. Providing immunizations to all children
under one year of age and all pregnant
mothers in accordance with Tanzanian Immunization
Program
3. Providing proper and early diagnosis and treatment of
diseases such as malaria, acute respiratory infection,
diarrhea, etc.
4. Providing education, especially about adolescent
fertility intervention and pregnancy safety
5. Strengthening the referral system for those who need
hospital care
6. Offering affordable healthcare and service
Many of the rural villages lacking healthcare facilities continue to rely on traditional healers, traditional birth attendants, and two village health workers (in every village). KADERES works to increase the provision of comprehensive primary care within walking distance by facilitating the construction of nearby health facilities. Through our dedicated partner, Direct Relief International, KADERES has equipped these facilities with adequate medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals. Visit out "Photos" page to see some examples of our health clinics and dispensaries.
