Construction of 3 "Rain Harvesting Water Tanks"

Through generous donations from Global Partners for Development we started
construction in July, 2009 for three water tanks at Karambi, Kikukuru and Rugasha Primary Schools.
Here are photos from the first stage of construction

The two following sets of photos are of the initial construction at Karambi and Kikukuru Primary Schools

The water tank is being constructed between two of the classrooms for easy accessibility and proper space  "Rain Water Harvesting Tank" foundation

As seen in the following photos, Rugasha Primary School has struggled to attain clean and safe water.
After supporting the construction of a water tank at the neighboring dispensary, Global Partners agreed to sponsor the construction
of a 25,000-30,000 liter "Rain Harvesting Water Tank" at the school.

Rugasha Primary School This is one of the current water sources being used by the students at Rugasha Primary School Water from this area is not clean or safe to be consuming - it is putting the children and staff at risk for disease This tank is at the nearby Rugasha Dispensary and is also used by the students. The construction and immediate benefits of this tank is the reason the donor decided to sponser the school to get a tank as well. The location for Rugasha Primary School's new 25,000-30,000 liter tank Students can now easily access clean and safe water
